Tarbiyyah (Discipline & Character)
Allah said to the Prophet Muhammad [p.b.u.h]:
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ
Wa-innaka La Alaa Khuluqin Atheem
(And indeed, you are of a great moral character)
At Al Kamaliyyah, we understand that such discipline and character seldom manifests itself, it requires
years of nurturing, practice and training. Therefore we concentrate on implementing the following at all age
groups in every situation possible:
- Care of Faraidh (Mandatory), Wajibat (Compulsory), Sunnah (Internal/External) and
mustahab (Desirable) acts.
- Time Management
- Adaab (Respect)
- Akhlaq (Manners)
- Khidmah (Serving others)
- Ikhlas (Sincerity) & Aajizi (Humbleness)
- Suhba (spending company) with great scholars and the pious
Tazkiyah (Inner Purification)
Allah says in the Quran:
یَتۡلُوۡا عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰ یٰتِہٖ وَ یُزَکِّیۡہِمۡ وَ یُعَلِّمُہُمُ الۡکِتٰبَ وَالۡحِکۡمَۃَ ۚ وَ اِنۡ کَانُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ لَفِیۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِیۡنٍ
Yatloo 'Alayhim Aayaa-tihee Wa Yuzakkeehim Wa Yu'allimu humul Kitaaba Wal Hikmata Wa In Kaanoo Min Qablu La
Fee Dalaalim Mubeen
(Who recites to them His verses, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and
the wisdom, while they were earlier in open error)
Alhamdulillah, Al Kamaliyyah is working under the guidance of great shuyookh from around the world to help
our students eliminate spiritual illnesses (such as anger, backbiting, envy, hatred, greed, heedlessnes and
sins) and inculcate regular Adkhar (Remembrance) to help students towards a life of Taqwa
(Piety, Fear of God).
The Messenger of Allah [p.b.u.h] said:
خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ
(The best amongst you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it)
Al Kamaliyyah aims to act upon this Hadith by implementing a 'learn to teach, teach to learn' ethos, where
all students will be encouraged to assist their peers when possible. Al Kamaliyyah's pedagogy will be
structured in such a way that a student is able to also teach the same lesson using the same material
after they have been taught it.
We will introduce the Al Kamaliyyah standard, which breaks down the highest level and quality of authentic
learning and provides it through a unique pedagogy that makes it available equally for children as young
as 5 years old and also adults.
Allah says in the Quran:
وَ مَنۡ اَحۡسَنُ قَوۡلًا مِّمَّنۡ دَعَاۤ اِلَی اللّٰہِ وَ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَّ قَالَ اِنَّنِیۡ مِنَ الۡمُسۡلِمِیۡنَ
Wa Man Ahsanu Qawlan Mimman Da Aa ilAllahi wa 'Amila Salihan Waqala innanee Minal Muslimeen
(Who can be better in words than the one who calls towards Allah, and acts righteously and says; I am
one of those who submit themselves (to Allah))
Al Kamaliyyah is working under the guidance of world renowned scholars from around the world to
spread Da'wah (preach) towards Allah's guidance using tried and trusted methods based on the sunnah
of the Holy Prophet [p.b.u.h]. It has adopted the common qualities of the Sahaba R.A and will aim
to inculcate these into every student via regular meetups and incursions.
Some of these have already been mentioned in other categories (above), others include:
- Strengthening Imaan (faith) and working on the Salah (prayer) of a
Mu’min (devout believer)
- Nurturing and inculcating worry and concern (fikr) for all humanity and
carrying out Da’wah (preaching) in support of this fikr.
